Trinity River steelhead Fishing 🎣 Report 12/20/2025

The Trinity River is on the rise with heavy rain hitting Northern California, the lower river has lots of fish pushing through. Today will be the last day to fish down in the junction city area as it’s coming up fast and off color. The upper river in the Lewiston to Douglas city will be the place to cut these new winter steelhead off in the days ahead. The upper River should stay fishable, there will be plenty of fish around to have good days ahead. Best to side drift freshly cured steelhead eggs, or throwing spoons I. Blk/ gold will keep you busy catching fish. I will be focusing on the upper river finding good water conditions.

I still have a few dates left in January/ February. Now is the time to get your dates on the calendar as these fresh steelhead are around.
