Sacramento River Salmon, Trout, Steelhead Fishing Report Dec 4th 2020

SACRAMENTO RIVER FISHING REPORT, the flows on the Sac River are at 4,000 cfs. That is pretty average for this time of year. We usually see a few good storms by now. That’s just not the case this year. That makes fishing a bit more challenging. This is bound to be when we are lucky enough to live with a year round river. At least 90% of the time we get to have amazing fishing conditions of one or more species. Then a late rain season hits us, then fishermen have to get a bit more creative.

We are currently still in King Salmon season. We go tell December 30th this year. Right now Salmon fishing has been pretty tough. There are plenty of King Salmon in the river. Getting them to bite is another story. Most likely the really clear water and the water temp is the reason. As soon as we get rain things will all turn around. The Steelhead fishing has been good, just about every day out. I’m taking advantage of that.

Over on the Trinity River we are catching fish every trip out. Really made a difference having some rain. A few weeks ago it was near un fishable in a boat. Now it’s a great day out. I still have a few January / February dates available for Steelhead on the Smith River and the Trinity River.

REMEMBER WE ARE BOOKING KING SALMON TRIPS FOR 2021 NOW!!
