Sacramento River salmon fishing is off to a pretty good start for us, the upper section of the Sacramento River opened august 1st, we had a great morning putting big Sacramento River kings in the net. The famous barge hole definitely produced a great morning for all of the local salmon fishermen. We are seeing and catching bright salmon daily. The season is just starting, we will see bigger numbers of salmon by mid august, Remember to book your late fall king salmon trips in advance, the season goes until December 31st, I will be fishing the trinity River also for winter steelhead starting in November through February! Book in advance!
